Public bodies in Germany have been covered by BITV 2.0 for some time. Since June 2025 the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz has added obligations for many private providers as well.

We assess existing sites against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and tell you what can be fixed at reasonable cost and what cannot.
